Playground Inspections in Michigan
Choose We Do Playgrounds for thorough playground inspections in Michigan, Northeast Indiana, and Ohio. Our team pays close attention to detail to ensure your recreational spaces and playground equipment are safe and up to standard. We help licensed childcare facilities meet the required standards for play spaces in the Midwest. These standards include:
- All outdoor play areas and equipment should be maintained in a safe condition and inspected daily.
- The outdoor play area must be protected from hazards by a fence or natural barrier at least 48” tall.
- Shaded areas must be available in the summer.
- There must be suitable surfaces for wheeled vehicles and pull toys if used.
- Equipment must be age appropriate.
- Trampolines may not be used.
We Create Safe Play Spaces
Our inspectors check merry-go-rounds, slides, spring toys, and other outdoor play area equipment to ensure children can safely use them. Playground equipment must adhere to the standards outlined in the 2010 edition of the Handbook for Public Playground Safety. Compliance with these standards can be verified by:
- A written statement or certificate from the equipment manufacturer or installer.
- A report from a certified playground safety inspector.
- A written statement from the licensee that the equipment will not be used. (This applies if the verification of compliance with the Playground Equipment Safety Act cannot be produced.)
Our company is proud to have conducted hundreds of playground inspections in the Midwest. We are certified by the NRPA and have received official approval from the State of Michigan to inspect playgrounds at licensed childcare facilities.
